P2000 Applications - Siding
P2000 Insulation Over the Outside of Home 1. P2000 improves the Thermal Efficiency of your home by forming a highly effective insulation layer over the outside of your home.
  • This layer acts as an air infiltration barrier, significantly reducing the free movement of air through cracks and openings in the wall. This is widely acknowledged as a major source of thermal loss. ยท It forms a thermal break between the interior and exterior of the wall. In standard "stick frame" construction, fiberglass or cellulose insulation is placed between the studs in the wall. The studs themselves are not insulated, so they act as a conduit for conducting heat through the wall. By insulating the exterior wall you break the conductive path of energy loss.
P2000 Whole House Wrap 2. It improves the working surface for the siding installation, by forming a rigid flat base for the new siding. This can smooth out an imperfect wall, resulting in sharp even lines where bulges and waviness existed before.

WPR on Walls and Ceilings 3. It can help to dampen the noise level permeating the structure from the outside. For homes subjected to extreme traffic noise, additional noise attenuation steps will probably need to be taken. But, a layer of insulation can noticeably reduce external noise, making your home a more relaxing place to be.
