P2000 Applications - Below Grade
P2000 Insulation in a Crawl Space There are several advantages to insulating the foundation walls. This insulation can occur on either side of the foundation. The block or concrete wall insulated on the exterior surface is not subjected to large temperature differences and so will not act as a thermal bridge.

Block walls insulated on the interior undergo less air convection in block cavities. P2000 boards are applied vertically to the inside of the foundation wall. At nearly room temperature, the basement walls act as a heat reservoir, buffering interior temperature fluctuations. In some instances, additional freezing forces are prevented from acting directly on the basement wall.

In "slab-on-grade" applications, P2000 can be used to insulate beneath the floor slab. This application can be used under the slab when it is poured, or the P2000 can be laid on top of the poured floor as a radiant barrier before radiant heat is installed or can be applied under the laminate, hardwood or tile floor.

P2000 Insulation on Basement Floor P2000 is durable and versatile, available in thicknesses from 1/2 inch to 2 inches x 48 inches. P2000 can stand up to the rigors of job-site handling with a tensile strength of 170 pounds per square inch. Installation is a snap and sizing is just a blade knife cut from perfection. P2000 is a superior choice for numerous below grade applications.
